Service user and carer educators/researchers

In recognition of the central role that service user and carer play in social work education and social work research, funding has been sought by the conference planning group to meet some of the conference fees and travel expenses for your participation.
We are introducing a new process for applying for and allocating bursaries, which is outlined below.
It is likely that not everyone that applies will receive a bursary.

You are strongly advised to seek funding from your own organisation, if appropriate, or the HEI social work course you work with.

If social work courses/ organisations are able to pay or contribute to the conference fee it will enable the sponsorship monies to support more bursaries. Decisions on who receives a bursary will be made by a panel drawn from the conference planning group which includes service user and carer educators/researchers.

No more than two people from any organisation or educational institution will be supported (including carers/helpers).

Priority will be given to people who;

Please note that JSWEC is unable to make any financial payment beyond the bursaries outlined below.
